About the Scholarship
CDL Schools USA is committed to supporting students pursuing careers in the transportation, logistics, and supply chain industries. The American trucking industry moves over 70% of all freight in the United States, yet faces a critical shortage of qualified drivers and logistics professionals. This scholarship aims to encourage students to consider careers in this essential industry.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Currently enrolled or accepted at an accredited U.S. college, university, community college, or trade school
- Pursuing a degree or certification in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, automotive technology, diesel mechanics, or related field
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need (preferred but not required)
How to Apply
Write an Essay
Submit a 500-750 word essay on one of the following topics:
- "How the transportation industry impacts everyday American life"
- "My career goals in the supply chain/logistics industry"
- "Innovations that will shape the future of trucking"
Gather Documents
Prepare the following documents:
- Proof of enrollment (transcript or acceptance letter)
- Copy of valid ID (driver's license or state ID)
- Brief personal statement (100-200 words)

How will the scholarship funds be distributed?
The $500 award will be sent directly to the winner's educational institution to be applied toward tuition, fees, or educational expenses.
Can I apply if I'm already working in the trucking industry?
Yes! We welcome applications from current industry professionals who are pursuing additional education or certifications.
Is there an application fee?
No. This scholarship is completely free to apply for. We never charge application fees.
Can previous applicants reapply?
Yes, students who were not selected in previous years may reapply with a new essay.
