Why FMCSA Registration Matters
Since February 2022, the FMCSA requires all new CDL applicants to complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) from a registered provider. If your school is not in the registry, you cannot take the state CDL skills test, regardless of how much training you've completed. Always verify before you enroll.

What is the FMCSA Training Provider Registry?
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) maintains an official registry of all approved Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) providers in the United States. Only schools listed in this registry can provide training that qualifies you to take your CDL skills test at the DMV.
How to Use This Tool
Enter the name of any CDL school, trucking school, or truck driving academy in the search box above. Our tool will check the official FMCSA database and tell you if the school is registered and approved to provide ELDT training. You can also search by city or zip code to find verified schools near you.
What If My School Isn't Listed?
If a school you're considering is not in our database, do not enroll until you verify their status directly with the FMCSA. Completing training at an unregistered school means you'll have to start over at an approved provider, wasting both time and money.
