Compliance Training

HIPAA for the General Healthcare Workforce

One course for every role that can touch protected health information — clinical staff, front desk, scheduling, billing, records, IT, couriers and remote workers. Built around what a workforce member is actually expected to do: recognise, protect, verify and report.

Who This Course Is For

HIPAA training is a workforce requirement, not a clinical one. If someone can see, hear, carry or store patient information, they need it.

Front desk, scheduling and registration staff
Billing, claims and revenue cycle teams
Clinical and allied health staff
Health information management and records teams
IT, help desk and vendor support staff
Couriers, drivers and logistics personnel
Remote and hybrid administrative workers
New hires and annual refresher audiences

What the Course Covers

Four modules, roughly fifteen minutes each, with five knowledge checkpoints inside every video and a three-question quiz at the end of each one.

1

HIPAA Foundations

What HIPAA actually protects, how information becomes identifiable, how the Privacy, Security and Breach Notification Rules differ, why system access follows assigned work, and the four-question gate to run before touching patient information.

Incident Response, Accountability and Capstone

Recognising and reporting suspected incidents without pre-judging the legal outcome, safe first actions and evidence preservation, writing a useful incident report, sanctions and non-retaliation, and a capstone that applies the whole decision model to a live shift.

A Final Exam That Cannot Be Memorised

The final assessment draws 10 questions at random from a 20-question bank, and shuffles the answer options on every attempt. Two employees sitting the exam side by side do not get the same paper, and retaking it does not mean replaying the same answers in the same order. You need 80% to pass, and you can retake it as many times as you need.

Common Questions

Does this replace our organisation-specific HIPAA training?

No. This is general workforce training. Your employer still has to train staff on its own policies, approved systems, reporting contacts, role-specific duties and any material changes. This course is the foundation those policies sit on.

How long does it take?

About 60 minutes of video across four modules, plus quizzes and the final assessment. You can stop and resume; progress is saved to your account.

How often should HIPAA training be repeated?

Annual refresher training is the common expectation, with additional training when policies or regulations change materially. The certificate shows a one-year validity date to match that cadence.

What happens if I fail the final exam?

You can retake it. Each attempt draws a fresh set of questions from the bank, so a retake is a genuine re-test rather than a second run at the same paper.

Can I buy seats for my team?

Yes. Five-seat and ten-seat bundles are available above, and larger volumes can be arranged through the enterprise contact form.
