The New York CDL test is challenging but very passable with proper preparation. You need to score 80% to pass. Most students who practice with our free tests and study the official New York DMV handbook pass on their first attempt.

Yes! New York offers the CDL written test in Spanish. However, the road test is always conducted in English with the examiner. We recommend familiarizing yourself with English terms as well.
Your New York Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) is valid for 180 days (6 months). You must complete your ELDT training and pass the CDL skills test before it expires. If it expires, you'll need to retake the written tests.
If you fail the New York CDL test, you can retake it after 7 days. You'll pay a retest fee (Included). There's no limit on attempts, but your CLP must remain valid. Use our practice tests to study the areas where you struggled.
